What I Learned at 24.

My birthday is today (March 9) and while most people like to reflect on the year from January 1 – December 31, I like to reflect on the year from birthday to birthday. So, here are some lessons I learned as a 24-year old.

  • Life doesn’t always go as planned, and that’s okay.

  • Sometimes you have to let go of relationships that are no longer serving you. It’s a difficult process and is full of negative feelings, but you are defining your worth which is far more important.

  • Just because your life path is different from those around you doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

  • Practicing gratitude can shift your entire mindset.

  • Just because no one sees the work you’re putting in doesn’t make it any less real.

  • Sometimes it’s easier to avoid doing the things that are good for you. Do them anyway.
